Abstract
In addition to the general parameters which regulate dental committee activities, some specific parameters have been introduced. From ethical point of view, the specific character of these parameters is due to the following: low proportion, in comparison with the other fields of medicine, of inpatients; great ethical importance of aesthetic characteristics of treatment; availability of a professional group of dental laboratory technicians as active participants of treatment process who, however, do not come into personal contact with patients; a considerable number of private dental offices, which are usually quite small and independent; significant differentiation of payment services; dental patients include all groups of patients regardless of their gender, income, ethnic or professional background; well pronounced personification of medical care.
