Abstract
On the centenary of Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. habil), Professor Elena Iosifovna Kukushkina (1925–1919), the author’s memoirs are presented related to her role in defining and supporting his activities at the initial stage of academic career. The emphasis is on recalling E. I. Kukushkina’s personal qualities and her labours in searching and introducing into academic circulation names and works of Russian scholars in the pre- and post-revolutionary periods, as well as her outstanding contribution to the development of the Russian sociology history.
