The morphological hiatus of the Olkhon mountain vole in the morphospace variation of the M3 shape, compared with the taxonomically similar Silvery mountain vole (A. argentatus) and the Tuvan vole (A. tuvinicus), confirmed its species status. High phylogenetic index values were obtained, indicating a high phylogenetic signal in M3 tooth shape. This allowed for the evolutionary transformations in the configuration of the M3 tooth in the genus Alticola to be reconstruct, also constructing a morphological phylogeny which largely coincides with the molecular phylogeny obtained based on mitochondrial and nuclear genes.</p>
Построенная морфологическая филогения во многом согласуется с молекулярной филогенией, полученной на основе использования митохондриального и ядерных генов.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>the genus Alticola</kwd><kwd>phylogeny of mountain voles</kwd><kwd>morphological disparity</kwd><kwd>molar shape variability</kwd><kwd>geometric morphometrics</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>род Alticola</kwd><kwd>филогения скальных полевок</kwd><kwd>морфологическое разнообразие</kwd><kwd>изменчивость формы моляров</kwd><kwd>геометрическая морфометрия</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках государственного задания ФБГУН Институт экологии растений и животных УрО РАН (№ 122021000091-2).</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Ангерманн Р., 1973.
